Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and motivation to enhancing South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) services in the course of an engagement with all the company's senior supervisors in a strategic preparing session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered to the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% in the registered pupils during the instruction sector.
These learners reached a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates that the investment decision national government is building in the life of poor and vulnerable youngsters is yielding a good influence in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe explained.
